Waldorf Astoria Rooftop Bar

Chengdu’s rapid growth as a city has attracted many international hotel brands to enter the extremely competitive market. Nonetheless, one name which stands out is the Waldorf Astoria, the premium hotel brand managed by the Hilton hotel group. Waldorf Astoria emerges in a newly erected 51 stories tall tower. Paring Onions was appointed for the interior design of its rooftop bar, sitting at the foot of the building’s helicopter pit, overlooking a 360 panoramic view of Chengdu city. The design utilizes traditional brickworks to transform the entrance into a ancient laneway, at 220m above ground. The bar design inspired by aviation and the form of engineered turbines to create a classic and timeless bar, offering Chengdu’s finest cocktails and light refreshment.
