Paring Onions Studio

The transformation of a bare shell office space into the studio for paring onions. Located in an 1970s commercial building in Sheung Wan, the transformed studio features a black & white contrasting interiors which acts as the canvas for our design inspirations.

The end result is a stimulating working environment with a open plan studio, and a conference room. Walls and cabinet are cladded with magnetic writable surfaces for pin ups and sharing design ideas. The studio also experimented with its own designed LED light fixture, creating a minimal and sustainable lighting solution which has been implemented in some later projects. On a lighter note, the studio also features a 4m long corian bar with integrated bar fridge and wine cabinet – handy for those after hours social drinks and a few games on our competition pool table.
