Summer Hotel

This boutique hotel is part of the overall commercial complex situated in Zhuhai. SummerInternational Group commissioned Paring Onions to generate the concept for the hotel. Thedesign reflects the holistic nature of the development with the use of strong streamlines andwhimsical elements in the hotel lobby and public spaces.

The moulded ceiling emphasized the height of the lobby, suggesting a sense of surrealism witha creative separation of the different zones in the lobby. A ‘water-lounge’ is proposed on oneside of the lobby as a continuation to the external landscape water feature, with island seating added to accentuate the whimsical experience to its visitors.
